Structural Function and Particulate Containment

Pillow and Cushion Interlining Fabric serves as the essential internal layer that contains the fill material (e.g., down, foam chips, polyester fiberfill) and provides structural shape to the cushion. These fabrics are typically lightweight, durable, and characterized by high Thread Count and tight weave density to prevent the migration or escape of fine fill particles (Fiber Migration Control). Commonly made from non-woven polypropylene or lightweight, calendered cotton/polyester blends, they must withstand the internal stress from stuffing and external stress from use without tearing or bursting.

The material's lightness ensures it does not negatively impact the final product's softness or loft.
